This usually includes talking on your cell phone without a hands free device, but the law is never actually enforced. However, I still don't know how some people are allowed to keep their license as they get older. Sometimes it's just plain dangerous.Jamesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9032867406346172311.post-86670196189264125872006-03-03T06:33:08.000-08:002006-03-03T06:33:08.000-08:00Please lawmakers, can we make this illegal? <- ...Please lawmakers, can we make this illegal? <- is that confusing to anyone else? how many lawmakers look at this site?Kennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9032867406346172311.post-24006379112874788802006-03-03T09:17:13.000-08:002006-03-03T09:17:13.000-08:00First of all, I would appreciate it if you didn...First of all, I would appreciate it if you didn't post as "Ken" if your name isn't Ken.

Secondly, how is that confusing? "Please, lawmakers, can we make this illegal?" I'm asking the lawmakers (senators, members of the house of representatives, governor, etc) to consider a bill like this.

Thirdly, this is where you make your only valid point. No lawmakers read this site. If I wanted them to know that I wanted this to be illegal, I would need to call them or write to them and ask them to make this into a bill. But, possibly, if this site became popular enough, some lawmakers could run onto it and think that I had a perfectly valid point and they would pass some legislation that would make it illegal for senior citizens to drive and talk on a cell phone at the same time.Kenhttp://www.tigrao.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9032867406346172311.post-88404304246369593952006-03-04T08:02:53.000-08:002006-03-04T08:02:53.000-08:00Frankly, I think you're getting two issues mix...Frankly, I think you're getting two issues mixed up in here. One being whether or not senior citizens are should be allowed to drive, and one being whether cell phones should be used while driving. So I'd say you need two laws, here, because a single law against senior citizens talking on the phone while driving would be discriminatory. And possibly unconstitutional. ;-)Caminoreply@blogger.com
