Last Post of 2005
Where did 2005 go? It got away way too quickly.
Since I haven't posted very much this month, I figured that I needed to at least post one last time in 2005.
2006 will be a good year. I am getting back into college and going to finally get straightened out so I can finish up my degree. I feel like 2006 is going to be a life changing year for me. Something very big is going to happen to me. I just feel that way. Don't ask for a bigger explanation because you won't get one.
Let's all do better in 2006! Let's be the best people that we can be!

Back Online
For all of you who have been patiently waiting for my blog to come back online, today is your lucky day. It has been down for one week because I cancelled my Comcast High Speed Internet to get Qwest DSL. Comcast's service has degraded too much in my area since it got cold and snowy. It has also become too expensive. Qwest DSL is much cheaper and has a higher upload speed. That will be nice for me.
For all of you who have been impatient, I'm sorry. You need to learn more patience. You know who I'm talking about :P

One more year down
Well, I am now a quarter of a century old. I have met a lot of good people during my 25 years of life. I have passed through very many special experiences. I have also passed through very many horrible experiences. Life has been a good learning experience for me.
I look forward to the, hopefully, 75 years of life that I have yet ahead of me. There will be many ups and downs. There will be many hard times; there will also be many wonderful and exciting times. We all pass through the experiences and challenges that we need to pass through for our own benefit. I look forward to those experiences that will strengthen me and mold me into a better person.
I thank all of you who have touched my life for the past 25 years. Thank you for your examples to me. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your patience with me. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your helping hand. Thank you for your friendship.
I won't name any names in particular except for my parents. Thank you mom and dad for helping me to become the person that I am!

Gmail now has virus protection
The best webmail service out there just got better! Gmail now has virus protection integrated into their email service. Maybe I should uninstall my virus scanner now and let other people's computers use their resources to scan all of my viruses. I bet this works with Gmail Drive! That would be awesome...

Microsoft releases OneCare
Microsoft has just announced the release of their OneCare Beta. OneCare will integrate a firewall, virus scanner, and backup utility into one package. Read more at this InformationWeek story.
I'm confused here. Why doesn't Microsoft work on closing the holes in their operating system and not allowing viruses to exist on their operating system in the first place? Instead they buy up software security companies and use their hard work to patch up the problem instead of fixing it at the source. I would have to say that I don't agree with this move.
