Do you know how to take a dump in the woods properly?
I just had this link sent to me. It was exactly what I needed to cheer me up! I have had such a hard day today. It is a long story. I won't go into it here, though. This actually made me laugh when I saw it. For the person that sent this to me, if you would like to take credit for it, feel free to comment and tell everyone.
As you can tell, (I wanted to make it obvious) I have edited this picture. This is not the real title of the book. If you would like to see the real title, follow the link below. It may be offensive to some of you, though.
I want to buy this book! I wonder if I do things properly when I'm in the woods. Do you know how? What kind of things do you think should be done to properly deficate in the wilderness?
This post really cheered me up, so if you don't like it...tough.

Picture of the Day
This is currently my MSN display picture. I've had people ask me what it is supposed to be. I'm displaying it here so that you can think about it a little more. :)

Gripes with Windows...
You know what? In some ways Windows sucks. Arrgggh! I had a partition on my hard drive that had Windows Vista Beta 1. When I formatted my computer I deleted that partition too because I thought that I'd just install a newer build when it came out. So... the new build came out today and I decided that I might as well setup that partition again and format it. Well, when I did it, Windows decided that it would be nice and delete all of the partitions after that too! How nice! It just deleted my Gentoo Linux partition! Uggghhh!!! I guess it isn't that bad, I wasn't booting into Linux anymore since my website is running on Windows. It probably isn't worth it to even put Linux back on my computer. I never used it. If I need Linux it is on my laptop. I actually use it on there every now and then. I just needed somewhere to gripe. This, of course, is the appropriate place to do it... :)

Staying Up All Night... Worth it?
I stayed up all night last night. I was coding for my computer science class. It was an assignment that I put off until the last minute. I stayed up doing that with a few breaks to play with my new SATA hard drive (which I got all installed and running). I decided, though, that staying up all night is not good. I felt like it would be too dangerous if I drove to class in the morning, so I didn't go to school. I'm thinking that it probably is never worth it. Sleep is more important than getting assignments done sometimes. Anyone have any up all night experiences to share? Was it worth it?

New Windows Server at home
Well, I've decided that as the LAN parties continue to get more popular, something has got to be done about the load that is put on my computer when people install games. All of the games that we play are stored on my computer's hard drive. Everyone then installs them all at once. This really bogs down my computer and I can't do anything while everyone copies over CD Images or installs directly from my computer. I've decided to install a server that has all of the games stored on it. I've installed Windows Server 2003 on a Pentium II 350 with 190 MB of RAM. This, I figure should be enough, as the load on the computer will mostly be on the hard drive. I'm installing a Promise ATA133 controller in it with a 160 GB ATA100 drive. I then ordered this new SATA150 drive from Newegg. This will replace the 160 GB drive, which was in my computer. I'm exicted about these new changes.
So do you geeks out there think that my server will be good enough to handle the load when ten people want to install games at the same time?

I believe in free speech. I believe that it is a God-given right to all of mankind, no matter where they live. However, I'm not sure that this solution is such a good idea. I see potential of an all out war involving China, the US, Canada, and others; and it could all start because of something like this. What do you all think?

4,000 hits?
Okay... is this site growing in popularity? In about two weeks time, I have had over 1,000 hits. Let's put this into perspective... I started this site in October of 2005 - November, December, January, February... in three days this site will be up for four months. Basically, in three and a half months I got 3,000 hits. In two weeks I got another 1,000 hits! Wow! Am I going to have 2,000 more hits over the next two weeks? This is getting crazy! This was intended to be a site where I would share a few of my thoughts with a few of my friends and family and an occasional random person. This is fun! I'm loving it!

Formatted Computer tonight
Some of you may have noticed that the site was down for sometime last night. It was because I was formatting my computer. It seemed to have a few bugs that I didn't want to take the time to fix. Anyway, the site is back up now and my computer seems to be perfoming quite well now.
Please let me know if you see any bugs with the site now that it is running on a freshly installed system.

Moving On
It is difficult to move on sometimes, but we have to do it. Obstacles in life come at us hard, but we just have to face them and get over them. I'm moving on. I'm getting over my obstacles and going forward in my life. I'm not letting anyone get in my way. No one is going to keep me from being happy.

Cure for the HIV Virus?
Taken from today's Salt Lake Tribune:
[blockquote]Has BYU prof found AIDS cure?
Compound could be long-sought breakthrough
By Bob Mims
The Salt Lake Tribune
Researchers, including a BYU scientist, believe they have found a new compound that could finally kill the HIV/AIDS virus, not just slow it down as current treatments do.
And, unlike the expensive, drug cocktails 25 years of research have produced for those with the deadly virus, the compound invented by Paul D. Savage of Brigham Young University appears to hunt down and kill HIV.
Although so far limited to early test tube studies, CSA-54, one of a family of compounds called Ceragenins (or CSAs), mimics the disease-fighting characteristics of anti-microbial and anti-viral agents produced naturally by a healthy human immune system.
Under a study sponsored by Ceragenix Pharmaceuticals, Savage and his colleagues developed and synthesized the compound for Vanderbilt University's School of Medicine. In his Nashville, Tenn., laboratories, Derya Unutmaz, an associate professor of Microbiology and Immunology, tested several CSAs for their ability to kill HIV...[/blockquote]
Could it be? Have they actually found the cure? This is huge if it is true!

If You're Not the One...
If you're not the one then why does my soul feel glad today?
If you're not the one then why does my hand fit yours this way?
If you are not mine then why does your heart return my call
If you are not mine would I have the strength to stand at all
I never know what the future brings
But I know you are here with me now
We'll make it through
And I hope you are the one I share my life with
I don't want to run away but I can't take it, I don't understand
If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am?
Is there any way that I can stay in your arms?
[ins]If I don't need you then why am I crying on my bed?
If I don't need you then why does your name resound in my head?[/ins]
If you're not for me then why does this distance maim my life?
If you're not for me then why do I dream of you as my wife?
I don't know why you're so far away
But I know that this much is true
We'll make it through
And I hope you are the one I share my life with
And I wish that you could be the one I die with
And I pray in you're the one I build my home with
I hope I love you all my life
I don't want to run away but I can't take it, I don't understand
If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am
Is there any way that I can stay in your arms?
'Cause I miss you, body and soul so strong that it takes my breath away
And I breathe you into my heart and pray for the strength to stand today
'Cause I love you, whether it's wrong or right
And though I can't be with you tonight
And know my heart is by your side
I don't want to run away but I can't take it, I don't understand

Super Bowl XL
I'm sitting here with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XL. I kind of wanted Seattle to win, but it isn't going to happen. Frankly, if you've been following this site, you already know that I am way disappointed that my Denver Broncos didn't make it and I don't really care too much now. I've been sitting back here eating chips and playing games instead of watching the game. Sigh... I wish that I was watching Denver win the Super Bowl today. Oh well... such is life... we have disappointments.

Downtime last night
For those of you who tried to hit my site last night, I apologize. I booted my computer into Linux and started compiling updates. My Linux install was way behind on updates, so I knew it would take pretty much all night. I did this so that I wouldn't be tempted to play games so that I could do some Calculus homework. I have a test this Wednesday in Calculus and I really need to understand the material. Again, I apologize, but it was for the better. :)

MSN Search!
I'm one of the highest rated pages on MSN Search if you search for the right thing... wow... My new domain doesn't even show up on Google yet. MSN is the only one that has it. I guess it means that I will show up on Yahoo and Google eventually. I wonder why I am on MSN with such a high ranking, but I'm not even on the other big search engines?
LAN Party Games
At the LAN parties so far we've been playing all first person shooter games. I propose that at the next one we focus on strategy type games. We MUST play Warcraft III at least. If we don't, then the party is off! :P
Let's play these games:
1. Warcraft III: Frozen Throne (if we like this one, let's just play it the whole time :P)
2. Starwars Battlefront II
3. Battlefield 2
I think it is time for a change. Different game types = good.

Most Recent Comments at the Top
I've decided that the most recent comments block in the sidebar was way too far down the page. Nobody ever looked at it. Do you guys like it better at the top? I can't decide for sure. I think I want it higher, but I don't know if I want to keep it at the top. Let me know what you guys all think.
I also decided that when you view the comments on an entry, it is annoying to have a new window pop up. So, I disabled that and the comments come up in your current window.
