MSN Buddies
How many contacts do you have on your MSN list? Right now I have 8 online, 5 mobile, and 10 offline contacts. That makes 23 total. I reduced my list by quite a bit a few weeks ago and I took off all of the people that I haven't seen sign on for years. That really reduced my list. I guess I need to make more online buddies now.Do you guys have any contacts on your list that are online quite a bit, but yet you don't talk to them? I was thinking about that today. There are a couple that I haven't talked to for a while. I really don't know why. We just, um, stop talking. I can't explain it any differently... How are your contact lists?

Well, let's see, I have thirty-five contacts, and yet I hardly talk to anybody outside about three or four people. Would you like a glimpse into the secret msn life of Cami? lol. I like to categorize everyone- so I have 6 "Roommates" (don't laugh, I don't live with all of them, and sometimes they're at the library, etc, so it's not like I'm just lazy), there's 7 "BYU friends", most of whom I don't talk to- I recognize your problem Ken. We just kind of stopped talking and it's awkward to think of what to say...hey, remember me, we haven't talked in years but how's your life? Then we've got 7 "Family", most of whom are never on, except Tyrell, whom I also never talk to. Why is that Tyrell? ;-) Then there's "Friends of friends", about 3 people who I also never talk to (notice a trend?), 4 "High school friends", a seperate category for the 2"Mobile people" I know because I hate that it shows they're always on, it gets me excited, like there's actually someone to talk to, and then when it's just mobile people it's a let down. Finally, we have six people I classify as "People Never On" who I haven't deleted because they're missioanries who will be back in a few years. And Grandma. And you really can't delete Grandma. Maybe I should take a hint from Ken and prune my list. So there you go- my take on MSN messenger. I've noticed a lot of people have it organized different ways, and I think it's highly interesting. Someone's goign to do a study on it someday. Maybe it'll be me.
ReplyDeleteActually, Cami, I'm going to take a lesson from you and categorize my contacts better. I've left mine categorized using the MSN defaults, which is really lame. I should put people into work, friends, family, and school categories or something...
